Alumni Spotlight
Beyond Graduation
Jeffrey Goodson – ’05 and Carrie Lanvermeier Goodson – ’06

In the spotlight are Jeffrey Goodson Class of ’05 and Carrie (Lanvermeier) Goodson Class of ’06. They were united in marriage on October 23, 2008 and attend the First Free Will Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Upon graduation Jeffrey has continued in his families’ footsteps and has been working in the logging industry. He currently works for Michael L. Goodson Logging. Carrie taught elementary PE at JCA for 2 years. She is currently a full-time K4 teacher at JCA . Both are head-over-heels for their children, Ethan, Ella, and Everleigh.
Jarrod Lemons – ’11

Jarrod Lemons, a graduate of the Class of 2011, completed U.S. Air Force training in 2014 and is currently serving our country as an Airman 1st Class in Tampa, Florida. His MOS is in-flight refueling as a boom operator. This means he has the precarious responsibility of guiding a refueling boom from a tanker aircraft into a very small receptacle on another jet, while in flight. The two aircraft must fly within only a few feet of each other while this is being done.
Jarrod had high scores in the 90’s during all of his military training and testing and has been chosen several times by his command for various leadership roles. We look forward to many more accomplishments from this JCA graduate in the future.
Victoria Martin – ’13
Victoria Martin, valedictorian of the class of 2013, went on to attend Liberty University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, receiving Summa Cum Laude honors. While attending Liberty, Victoria worked as a professor’s assistant and research student. In the spring of 2017, Victoria was accepted into the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her future aspirations include becoming a primary care physician or a dermatologist.
