"…to the Glory of God (1 Cor 10:31)"

From even a cursory reading of our Student Handbook or a brief visit to our campus, one would correctly conclude that Jacksonville Christian Academy is a school of strict standards: dress code, hair code, classroom control, homework assignments, boy/girl relationships, respect for authority, etc. We have maintained this mindset from our inception. We view strong standards as a necessary and positive part of the package: education that honors Christ, hence, Jacksonville Christian Academy.

Far from being legalistic, oppressive, judgmental, and/or condescending, we hope to communicate to our families that we strive for excellence because we seek to serve Christ, to magnify Him, to represent Him as His ambassador (II Cor. 5:20). The very motive for life itself must be Christ (Phil. 1:21). Whether we are praying in church, playing ball in the gym, learning math and English in the classroom, eating lunch in the cafeteria, or shopping at the mall on Saturday, everything, including the very thoughts we think (II Cor. 10:5), is to be done with Christ in mind (Prov. 3:6)! At Jacksonville Christian Academy, we hope to convey that one is not a follower of Christ because he models high standards; rather one models high standards because he is a follower of Christ (I Pet. 1:16; 2:21).
