In a showdown of teams whose only loss on the season was to each other, the Championship game of the NCCAC Soccer Tournament lived up to expectations. After a half the game stood at a scoreless tie with each goalie coming up with big saves to keep it that way. About the only event that had an impact on the game was a pair of yellow cards issued to players on each team after a hard tackle and a shoving match which followed. Five minutes into the 2nd half a handball in the box was whistled against JCA, resulting in a PK and a Gramercy goal. The Conquerors answered moments later with a goal of their own to tie the game at 1-1. Only minutes later a questionable 2nd yellow was issued to JCA midfielder and captain Robert Murphy, resulting in his ejection and forcing the Conquerors to play 10 men vs 11 for the rest of the game. Both sides nearly scored several times in the remaining 30 minutes and it appeared the game would be settled on PK's in overtime before the Warriors squeezed a ball just across the goal line before being cleared by the defense. That goal proved to be the margin of victory as the game ended 2-1.
