Soccer practice for the JCA boys' soccer team will begin this Monday, August 4th at 8:30 AM and will end at 10:00. The weight room will be open about 20 minutes prior to the start of practice for those wishing to work out before practice. A calendar will be passed out at practice indicating the times and dates of future practices, but for at least the first week it will remain 8:30-10:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you have any questions call Coach Collins at (910)-546-3800. You may have to leave a message on his voicemail but he will respond as quickly as possible.

     Our Senior class went on their senior trip May 17-24. After a brief stop at King's Dominion in Virginia we traveled to Stafford, Virginia. We had the pleasure of staying with Mr. & Mrs. Barry Walker. While in our nation's capital we were privileged to have tours of the Pentagon and the Capital building. Along with visiting all of the monuments and memorials, we went through the Holocaust Memorial as well. This was a solemn reminder that man without God has a devastating effect on our world and that we, as Christians, need to keep our hearts and minds close to Him. The seniors then traveled up to New York City and enjoyed sights such as the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Chinatown, ect. We caught a New York Yankees game one night and attended Good Morning America. The seniors had a great time and enjoyed their last outing together as the Class of 2008.
